The symbol of the cross
Cross is a symbol that has been used by many people in the long run, both as decorative and as amulet or lucky charm. From the Christian world, the cross was used to show our love for the Divine and the fellow man. Besides, the horizontal part of cross symbolizes our love for fellow men and the vertical one symbolizes our love for the one and only God. For this reason, always the vertical piece is larger than the horizontal, as our love for God is greater than that to our fellow man. The cross is used by Christianity as a symbol for two reasons. Firstly, we wear it as an amulet and we always have God and His help with us, and secondly, because it is the first gift the godfather offers to the newborn, as giving him the cross welcomes him to world of Divine and love.
