Mother of pearl

Mother of Pearl is often referred to as filntisi in Greece, but it is a wrong expression, and that is why the mother of Pearl in Turkish means the elephant's tooth. In fact, Mother of Pearl is the material we get from the inside of a shell that make pearls. When Mother of Pearl is extracted from the shell, it is processed and it is adapted to our beautiful jewels.
