Types of Pearls

Pearl’s creation is made as follows. A foreign body invades on the flesh of a shell and the shell, in order to isolate this foreign body, secrete this wonderful pearl. Pearls, depending on their origin, are separated into the following main categories:

1) Akoya, which are sea pearls

2) South Sea, which are grown in southern seas and fresh waters

3) Fresh Water, which are grown in fresh waters and lakes.

All the pearls we use today in jewelry come from culture, but they are so beautiful and shiny that they greatly compete with natural pearls.
